The American president went traditional Midwestern: cheddar cheeseburger with onions, lettuce, tomato and pickles. President Medvedev went spicy: cheddarburger with jalepeno peppers, mushrooms and onions. The two leaders munched away in their shirtsleeves, sharing french fries at a table in Ray's Hell Burger. Interpreters at an adjacent table leaned in to hear their conversation
Medvedev is in Washington for bilateral meetings at the White House. But after a morning session, the two presidents took an informal lunch break, entering and exiting Ray's to the cheers of other customers. And when the bill came, dollars or rubles? Lunch was on the president of the United States, the White House said.
